How ItReserve Reputation Manager connects to Reservit

A module-specific breakdown of the API connection process, data flow and write-back behaviour.

01

Reputation Manager connects to your Reservit account and reads the guest profiles and reservation histories via the Reservit reservations API. This data is indexed by guest email address and stored in the module's local cache, creating a lookup table that maps each incoming OTA review — identified by its guest email where platforms provide it — to the corresponding Reservit reservation record.

02

When a new review arrives from Booking.com, Expedia, Google or TripAdvisor, Reputation Manager searches the Reservit reservation cache for a matching stay record. If a match is found, the review inbox displays the full reservation details alongside the review text: check-in and check-out dates, room type, rate plan, any notes recorded in Reservit, and the folio total. This context allows your response team to address specific aspects of the guest's stay rather than giving a generic acknowledgement.

03

Reputation Manager does not write data back to Reservit. The review data, response drafts and sentiment scores are stored within ItReserve's own data layer. The Reservit connection is read-only, used exclusively to enrich the review context. When you publish a response from the Reputation Manager interface, the response is submitted directly to the OTA's platform via its review response API — Reservit is not involved in the submission flow.

Reservit stay context

Each review displays the corresponding Reservit reservation details automatically — check-in/out dates, room type, rate plan and folio total — giving response teams full context before replying.

Draft and save responses within the dashboard. Drafts are retained for 72 hours, allowing responses to be prepared off-hours and published the following morning.

📈

Weekly sentiment trend chart across all platforms showing your average review score over time. Drill down by platform to identify where score changes are occurring.

🔔

Low-score review alerts

Configurable email or Slack alert when a review below your threshold score is received on any platform — enabling fast management response before a negative review gains visibility.

Frequently asked questions

No. Reputation Manager prepares draft responses and presents them in the dashboard for your team to review and edit. Responses are published only when a team member clicks "Publish response" — the module never posts automatically. This ensures that all responses carry your property's voice and have been reviewed before going live.
Reputation Manager attempts to match reviews to Reservit reservations using the guest email address where the review platform provides it, combined with the stay date range. Booking.com and Expedia provide guest emails for review matching in most cases. Google and TripAdvisor provide partial data — matches on those platforms are supplemented by date-range correlation.
Yes. Reputation Manager's low-score alert feature supports both email and Slack webhook delivery. Configure your Slack incoming webhook URL in the module alert settings, and alerts for reviews below your threshold score will appear in your designated Slack channel within minutes of the review being detected.
