About this module

Bidirectional sync between Reservit and Opera Cloud, Mews, Apaleo, Protel or your custom PMS. Integrates with your Reservit account via its official API.

How ItReserve PMS Bridge connects to Reservit

A module-specific breakdown of the API connection process, data flow and write-back behaviour.

01

PMS Bridge establishes bidirectional connections between your Reservit account and your chosen PMS (Opera Cloud, Mews, Apaleo, Protel or a custom PMS endpoint). The module authenticates simultaneously to both systems: your Reservit account via the Reservit API, and your PMS via its own API. Both connections are verified independently during the activation wizard before sync begins.

02

Reservation sync works through an event-driven architecture. When a reservation is created or modified in Reservit, PMS Bridge receives the change via a Reservit webhook, transforms the reservation data according to your configured field mapping, and writes it to your PMS using the PMS's reservation creation or update API. The reverse path operates the same way: changes in your PMS trigger a PMS webhook that PMS Bridge receives, transforms and writes back to Reservit.

03

Rate plan mapping is configured in a visual table within the PMS Bridge settings. You match each Reservit rate plan ID to its equivalent rate code in your PMS. When a reservation is synced, PMS Bridge uses this mapping to ensure the correct rate plan appears in both systems — preventing the rate discrepancy mismatches that are the most common source of revenue reconciliation errors in dual-system environments.

Module features

Five core capabilities included with your ItReserve PMS Bridge subscription.

🔄

Bidirectional reservation sync

Reservations created or modified in Reservit appear in your PMS within 30 seconds and vice versa. Supports Opera Cloud, Mews, Apaleo, Protel and custom PMS endpoints.

🗺️

Visual rate plan mapping

A two-column mapping table links each Reservit rate plan ID to its equivalent rate code in your PMS. Mapping changes take effect immediately without restarting the sync.

📑

Folio synchronisation

Guest folio charges posted in either system are reflected in the other within 30 seconds — eliminating the double-entry that causes revenue reconciliation discrepancies.

📦

Real-time availability bridging

Keeps Reservit availability counts consistent with your PMS room inventory in real time. When a room is marked out of order in your PMS, the Reservit availability decrements automatically.

⚖️

Sync conflict resolver

When a reservation is modified simultaneously in both systems, PMS Bridge's configurable priority rule determines which version wins. All conflict events are logged for review.

Frequently asked questions

PMS Bridge currently supports Opera Cloud, Mews, Apaleo and Protel as certified integrations, with pre-built field mappings for each. A custom PMS endpoint option is also available for properties using bespoke or less common PMS systems — this requires your PMS's API documentation to configure. Contact support@itreserve.org to discuss custom PMS support.
PMS Bridge uses a configurable priority direction to resolve conflicts. You choose whether Reservit or your PMS is the source of truth for each data type — for example, Reservit might be primary for rate data while your PMS is primary for folio charges. Conflict events are logged in the PMS Bridge activity log for review.
No structural changes to your Reservit account are required. PMS Bridge uses standard Reservit API endpoints. The only prerequisite is that your Reservit API key has the write scopes enabled for the data types you want PMS Bridge to manage — typically reservations, rates and availability. Our onboarding guide confirms the exact scopes required.
